2008 Lifetime Achievement Awards Event Set by Society of Camera Operators

The SOC has set Saturday, February 16th as the date for the 2008 Lifetime Achievement and Camera Operator of the Year Awards presentation and reception. The location for the black tie event will be the Goldenson Theater of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in North Hollywood, CA.

The SOC, a non-profit charitable organization, has advanced the art and creative contributions of the Camera Operator in the Motion Picture and Television industries since its inception in 1978. The Society brings industry leaders and cinematic artists into the closest confederation. more

Christie appoints two new Product Managers to its Business Products division.

Frank Anzures, Product Manager, LCD

Responsible for Christie’s LCD product line, Anzures brings over seven years of experience in product management, with an in-depth projection industry background, as well as technical expertise in LCD, DMD and reflective technologies. He joins Christie from Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America, where he served as product manager since 2005, responsible for the company’s projector product line and large venue public displays, including LCD monitors and video walls. Prior to Mitsubishi, Anzures worked at BenQ America Corporation, increasing by more than 40% the company’s reseller base for large government, corporate and education. He holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix. more
