Hollywood Post Alliance Awards Presented At November 1st Gala

Hollywood’s Post Production Community Honors Top Talent

November 1, 2007 (Los Angeles, CA) During a gala evening at Los Angeles’ Skirball Cultural Center, the Hollywood Post Alliance handed out its second Annual HPA Awards to the top behind-the-scenes talent working in motion pictures, television and commercials. Kudos for Engineering Excellence and the Lifetime Achievement Award, which had been announced earlier, were also awarded on November 1st.

In addition to the Awards given on November 1, 2007, Leon Silverman, President of HPA announced the Charles S. Swartz Award for Outstanding Contribution in the Field of Post Production. Silverman noted, “It is with great honor and respect that the HPA seeks to perpetuate the memory of a truly important and gifted person whose life work, through this award, will be celebrated for years to come.� The first Charles S. Swartz Award will be given at the 2008 HPA Awards.
