Anonymous Content recently signed skilled commercial filmmaker, Sebastian Strasser. As the Transylvania-born son of two Romanian theatre actors, Strasser began his career studying at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne, Germany. Strasser first worked as a journalist for ARD, a high profile German political TV show. In 2000, following three years of making feature documentaries, on-air promos, and TV broadcasts of music concerts, he made his way into directing commercials. Starting out with a stunning, simple performance-based Coca-Cola commercial for McCann Erickson, London, Sebastian quickly earned the opportunities to prove his skills as a filmmaker. As well as amassing a clutch of Gold awards at various international advertising festivals, Sebastian’s work for VW, Ikea, and Mercedes have already bagged him three Cannes Lions. In the 2005 Gunn Report, he was declared the 13th most awarded commercials director in the world. Strasser is an emerging master in directing performance and skilled at shooting fantastic-looking film with sublime storytelling. “Sebastian is such a perfect fit for our model,” says Partner/Head Of Commercials Dave Morrison. “He’s never worked in the U.S. market, yet is still so highly regarded in the American space.
