Hollywood Post Alliance Bestows Honor on Longtime Post Expert, Community Builder and Entrepreneur

October 3, 2007 (Los Angeles, CA) In a gala celebration scheduled for November 1st, 2007 at LA‘s Skirball Cultural Center, Fred Rheinstein will receive The Lifetime Achievement Award from the Hollywood Post Alliance for his long and distinguished career in the Hollywood post-production community. Rheinstein is well known for founding The Post Group in the mid 1970‘s; a company that he sold in 2005. The HPA Lifetime Achievement Award is awarded to a post-production professional who, during his or her lifetime, is recognized for their service and commitment to the field of Post Production. The Award gives deserving and respectful recognition to individuals who have, with great service, dedicated their careers to the betterment of our industry. Rheinstein, who has made significant contributions to building the post-production community, was an obvious recipient of the award. more

LOS ANGELES, October 3, 2007-Buddy Squires will receive the International Documentary Association‘s (IDA) Outstanding Documentary Cinematography Award. The award, sponsored by Eastman Kodak Company, will be presented during the 23rd Annual IDA Awards Gala Benefit here at the Directors Guild of America Theater on December 7.

HOLLYWOOD–Illuminate, the Hollywood-based digital services company, recently wrapped up post work on Care Bears: Oopsy Does It, the first all-CG feature starring American Greetings‘ cuddly bear characters.

Leveraging its robust toolset and flexible digital pipeline, Illuminate handled the lion‘s share of the post work for the feature, including editorial, visual effects, compositing and final conform. Care Bears: Oopsy Does It is set for an August release by Twentieth Century Fox. more
