Minneapolis (August 15, 2007) – Thomas J. Kulikowski has joined Electrosonic as General Manager of the Working Environments business for the Americas. He comes onboard after serving as President of the Advanced Communications Technologies division of Telex Communications which sold audio and data communication products for wireless applications in the aviation, government, military and education markets.
“Tom is a seasoned business professional with experience in both large and small technology companies and has a proven track record of success,” says Electrosonic Group President and CEO, Kyle M. Carpenter. “He brings a solid mix of strategic planning, hands-on sales management and effective P&L control to this position and will be a strong addition to the Electrosonic senior management team.” Kulikowski‘s post was previously held by Alan Dresner, a well-known and well-respected figure in the industry, who passed away in July. more

LipSync Post has just completed work on Stardust, the largest project to go through its dedicated vfx department to date.
LipSync alone completed over 180 shots in a six month period for the film, including some hugely impressive hero sequences and the signature ethereal glow that surrounds the central character of Yvaine. The development of this effect, which the character experiences whenever in an emotional state, needed to be spot on as it is used in over 80 shots and therefore went through 55 separate iterations before the team at LipSync and director Matthew Vaughn had a subtle, angelic glow that they were happy with. more
