Kevan Parker joins Schneider Optics

Schneider Optics announces that Kevan Parker is the company‘s new European Sales Manager for Schneider filters and Century lens accessories.
Parker, who is based in London, brings over 20 years of experience in lenses and optics to the Schneider team. He has worked with and serviced optics for companies such as Technovision and Cine Europe and most recently served as Sales Manager for IDX/OrtusMedia, the Century distributor in the UK.
According to Barry Rubin, Schneider‘s Director of Marketing and Sales “Parker‘s extensive knowledge of all aspects of film and video, both in the United States and Europe, will be an asset to Schneider‘s motion picture and television clients throughout the European market.” more

/ETC/ Paris teams up with Ecole des Beaux Arts in Le Mans

Large format projection specialists / ETC / Paris were called in to collaborate with students and lecturers from l‘ESBAM (Ecole Superieure des Beaux Arts du Mans) to realise a massive public projection of specially created artworks into an urban space central Le Mans, France.

This was part of the 2006/07 “Big Picture” project. The event saw 10 students selected by educational team to work closely with two of France‘s best known video and projection artists – Yves Trémorin and Tania Mouraud. They also lent pieces of their own work to be projected for the display evening, and judged the student‘s efforts. more

In “Dash 4 Cash,” a collection of dysfunctional characters team up and race across America for cash prizes. As the characters sped to the finish line in hopes of winning the prize, the production team had to move quickly as well. “Dash 4 Cash” will be the first network primetime scripted program to be shot in Sony‘s XDCAM HD format. more
