KHQ-DT Selects Broadcast Pix Slate 2100 Live TV Production System

Slate 2100 Switcher With Integrated Graphics, Clips And Monitoring Offloads Main Control Room

BURLINGTON, Massachusetts (April 10, 2007) Broadcast Pix™ Inc. today announced that KHQ-DT, the NBC affiliate in Spokane, Washington, is using its Slate™ 2100 live television production system for single-operator production of the station‘s “Weather Plus Updates.” The weather report is broadcast daily on its DTV channel 6-2; carried locally by Comcast Cablevision, and available from the station‘s Web site, www.khq.com. The updates are also fed to two other Central Washington stations owned by KHQ–KNDO-DT in Yakima and KNDU-DT in Kennewick–for broadcast on their DTV secondary channels and Web sites. All three stations rely on the Slate 2100 system‘s performance when producing the updates since the weather can change rapidly and dramatically throughout the region. more

Fujinon Lenses Capture Daily HD Local Newscasts For WFAA‘s Remote Studio Broadcasts

WAYNE, NJ, April 9, 2007 – Belo Corp. owned WFAA-TV/DT produces daily local newscasts in HD with Fujinon studio lenses from its new 4,000 square foot remote studio facility at Victory Park, adjacent to the American Airlines Center on the north end of downtown Dallas. The new facility has no control room and is fiber-optically connected to the station‘s facility located next door to The Dallas Morning News on Young Street in downtown Dallas. The four Grass Valley LDK 4000 HD studio cameras at the Victory Park facility, as well as at WFAA‘s existing studio, are each equipped with Fujinon‘s HA18X5.5BERD and HA13X4.5BERD HD lenses. more

FOR-A IVS-100 Video Stabilizers Takes The Shale Out For Several Stations

CYPRESS, CA, April 9, 2007 – Several television stations have recently selected FOR-A‘s IVS-100 video stabilizer to stabilize images from tower camera systems which capture live weather, traffic and beauty shots. All of the units were sold through Lamar Systems, a distributor and systems integrator for audio and video codecs and camera systems.
