Asia Pacific Digital Content Creators and Broadcasters Turn to Autodesk‘s Linux Solutions
Singapore, March 1, 2007– Over a dozen broadcasters and post-production facilities in the Asia Pacific region have recently embraced Autodesk, Inc.‘s (NASDAQ: ADSK) visual effects, editing/finishing and digital color-grading products running on the Linux operating system. Los Angeles, CA (March 1, 2007) — Massive Software announced today that the company‘s AI-driven animation system has been utilized by leading visual effects and animation studio Animal Logic for the Warner Bros. animated hit, Happy Feet. Using Massive, Animal Logic filled the screen with enough happy-footed “extras” to populate several Busby Berkeley showstoppers. The film, which opened on November 17, and has already grossed over $350 million, is director George Miller‘s first CGI animated offering, and features a voice cast that includes Elijah Wood, Brittany Murphy, Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman and Robin Williams.
