Douglas Trumbull on the Science of Movies
Visual effects veteran Douglas Trumbull (2001: A Space Odyssey, The Tree of Life) speaks to the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences about everything from using miniatures to mixing film formats and his upcoming sci-fi projects. Says the amateur astronomer, "I think we're due for some more intelligent science-fiction thoughtfullness about what's going on in the universe."
