Phone Art

Art students from Drexel University, Moore College of Art & Design, The Art Institute of Philadelphia, the Hussian School of Art, and the University of the Arts used Samsung VGA 1000 camera phones from Sprint to capture images to be displayed on plasma and TVs for a one-night-only, first-of-its-kind art exhibit at the Highwire Gallery in Philadelphia. The multi-media installations created by the student artists from local Pennsylvania art schools focused on Philadelphians on their wireless phones.
Hifi House of Broomall, Penn., provided the LG 42in. plasma TVs for the students to display their works of art. The students used playback devices of their own choosing, including DVD players and Mac and PC laptops.
