Desktop playback

Over the past three years, MediaSonic's HD video playback
products have found applications in museums, retail spaces, theme
parks, etc., where high bit rate, high quality MPEG-2 reproduction is
required. The MS9100D HD desktop player is the latest in a
lineup that includes the MS91000P and 9200P (which supports HD/SDI
output). Like these rackmounted units, the MS9100D plays back 720p or
1080i files at up to 50Mbps; it also incorporates Windows Media Player
controls, which allow the user a simple playback GUI. The player
outputs to monitors, plasma screens, LCD and DLP projectors. It
supports USB 2 for simple file management. It outputs YPbPr and RGB
video at either 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 and supports AC-3 audio.
