ARRI Digital Systems has introduced a lower-cost digital film recorder to its lineup, the ArriLaser HD. The price can be kept down in part as it is tailored for HD input recording onto camera negative film stocks such as Kodak 5245, Kodak Vision2 100, Fuji 64, and Fuji 125. Lower-wattage, lower-cost lasers can be used because the film recorder isn't designed to handle intermediate film stocks. www.arri.com
