The spots showcase the agility, beauty, and functionality of the new model as it navigates the winding streets of old Italy with ease. The footage, shot by Mackenzie, was enhanced through an Autodesk Flame color-correction system that was specifically tailored for Mercedes by Vico and Rhino lead artist Mickey Gorenstein. …

Shinebox Digital contributed to the success of the short film Charlie Thistle from filmmaker Bragi Schut Jr. by creating the visual effects that were an integral part of the storyline. The 15-minute film was shot on film and then color corrected to black and white while holding out specific areas of color. The script called for the gradual introduction of specific items to be colorized as the story progressed. In the final scene, the characters step out of the dull gray world and into one of full color. …

Guerilla FX (GFX) — the visual effects, production, post finishing, design, and interactive house — helped The Taco Truck (TTT) introduce the beloved West Coast tradition of all-natural, simple Mexican fare, in casual and environmentally friendly restaurants, to the Northeast. GFX art directed and designed the entire site, shot all food photography and the five 2-to-3-minute “cookisodes” that highlight the restaurants' classic and signature dishes, edited the footage, created the Flash animation and TTT blog, and coded the site. …

Mechanism Digital, a full-service production company in New York, was recently commissioned to produce a 4-minute online commercial that promotes the new Norton Online Family software by Symantec. Inhouse Director Ted Keenan collaborated with Director of Photography Richard Rutkowski to create a warm, inviting atmosphere that the Norton Online Family demographic can relate to. Australian artist Xavier Rudd's song “Let Me Be” was licensed to punch up the lighter moments and transitions, while the graphics support the important points and practical solutions offered by Norton's product. …
