StorCase is known for their sturdy removable driveenclosures. Digital content creation is a primary focus; last year thecompany announced that one of its enclosures had been certified for allconfigurations of Pinnacle CinéWave. Its Data Silo DS550 isa RAID-ready, steel rackmount or tower chassis that fits up to nine3.5in. or 5.25in. half-height SCSI devices — or up to seven suchdevices and one full-height RAID controller. Each Data Silo includestwo 400W power supplies and two high-pressure cooling blowers dividedbetween two hot-swappable modules. Operating temperature can be as highas 122 degrees. Indicator LEDs warn of existing or potential problemswith components. A seven-year limited warranty backs thesefeatures.
