Chief Engineer (Sarasota, FL)

WWSB, a small market ABC affiliate is seeking an experiencedChief Engineer to join our team . The candidate must have aminimum of 5 years experience in TV engineering management, a BSEE anda FCC general class license. SBE certification is a plus. A strongtechnical background is required, this is a "hands on" position and theapplicant must be able to lead the engineering staff. The candidatemust have extensive experience in repairing a wide variety of broadcastequipment (analog / digital video recorders, switchers, routers,servers, etc.) knowledge of Omneon servers, Sundance automation,Phillips Routers & Switchers, ENG , and RF equipment a plus. Astrong work ethic, good verbal skills and the ability to prioritize andmake frequent changes of tasks as directed without loss of composure.Must be self-motivated to learn and train others. The candidate needsto have budget and capital management experience.
