Chief Engineer
Assist the VP Engineering in managing the engineering operations of thestation. Manage the staff responsible for the maintenance and operationof a state-of-the-art digital broadcast television station and allrelated technical equipment, including news, production, transmissionfacilities, and master control operations. Supervise, motivate anddevelop skills of engineering personnel. Manage the implementation ofcurrent and long-range technical operation plans, and ensure thestation’s technical compliance with all government regulationsand industry standards. Coordinate all building related projects andrepairs. Five years engineering management experience in a televisionbroadcast environment required. Extensive knowledge of all broadcastsystems and knowledge of government regulations required. Solidunderstanding of digital technology essential. Significant technicalexpertise in the planning, implementation and maintenance of televisionstation facilities, including RF facilities. Requires a strong leaderwith the ability to direct and motivate technical staff. Excellentcommunication and project planning and management skills a must. Degreein related field preferred.
