NAB Revamps its Digital Video Production Workshop for the NAB2002 Show

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB)announced has teamedwith the Digital Video Professionals Association (DVPA) to create thenew NAB2002 Digital Video Production Workshop (DVPW) to be held April 6& 7 in Las Vegas.

After surveying attendees from last year's DVPW, NAB has decided tojoin forces with DVPA and media partner Videography to create aprogram that better meets attendees' needs. The NAB2002 DVPW will strayfrom the traditional lecture-type sessions and bring the attendees andexperts together with "how-to" sessions and hands-on activities. TheWorkshop will address the nuts and bolts of successful videoproduction, including lighting techniques for digital video, digitalaudio for video encoders, encoding and compression for the Web and DVDauthoring.

The Workshop will include a Digital Video Solutions Area whereattendees can meet one-on-one with vendors to find solutions to theirDV concerns. DVPA is also offering an incentive for those who registerfor the Workshop that includes a one-year membership in the DVPA andthe DVPA Stock Video Footage Collection Volume 1, with more than $1,000worth of full quality, full-resolution video clips from the major stocklibraries, including EyeWire, ArtBeats, Dynamic Graphics, CorbisImages, EyeIdea, and Digital Juice.

"That is why we're so excited about our partnership with DVPA.They will take the DVPW to a new level, and bring what our attendeeshave asked for - more hands-on experience, guidance from the expertsand an environment where all can increase their knowledge andskills."
