In response, Sony Corp. and Panavision developed a digital HD camera system tailored for use in moviemaking. The system married Sony’s new 24 frame progressive scan 1920 x 1080 digital camera with a new series of 2/3-inch lenses and accessories developed and manufactured by Panavision.Since then, HD cameras such as the Panasonic AQ-20D and the Sony 1080i HD have popped up at shoots across the film Empire.
