Sundance Film Festival to Use Digital Projection Equipment for Sixth Year

KENNESAW, Ga. - Digital Projection Inc. an Emmy Award-winningmanufacturer of high-performance projection systems, will be theofficial provider of digital projectors for digital film screenings andthe internationally televised awards ceremony at the 2003 Sundance FilmFestival, Jan. 16 to 26, Park City, Utah.

DPI will provide more than a dozen of its high-performance HighLite,Thunder and Lightning three-chip DLP projectors for use in 11 theatersand venues, including the auditorium where the awards ceremony willtake place, the Park City Racquet Club.

"Digital Projection's projectors continue to produce extraordinaryresults - an amazing balance of color, brightness and contrast," saidIan Calderon, director of digital initiatives for the SundanceInstitute. "Digital Projection's technology, industry expertise andworld-class service continue to serve us well at the festival."

Every festival category will have digital entries, includinghigh-definition premieres, documentaries, features and shorts.

Organizers expect at least 30 percent of the festival's screeningsto be displayed in digital format.
