Technical Manager

Emerson College seeks a highly motivated, Technical Manager forWERS’ FM station, WECB (a carrier current FM station) and theCollege’s Academic Audio Program. The successful candidate mustpossess a minimum of five years of experience as a chief engineer orequivalent in a mid-size broadcast market, including departmentmanagement experience; strong FM transmitter and studio equipmentrepair experience (at component level); current knowledge of FCC Rulesand Regulations and familiarity with state-of-the-art audio systems andequipment. This position has a first response requirement foremergencies on a 24/7 basis and includes “Engineer InCharge” status, when required, for broadcast or productionevents.

Candidates must possess a high level of experience with Mac and PCsystems, Audio/Business/Editing/Remote Control and other software,interfaces and connected audio devices. Other maintenance experiencerequired includes: AP/ENPS news gathering, DAD/ENCO broadcast delivery,Wheatstone Router, Avid Editing, Final Cut Pro Editing, Pro-ToolsEditing systems, and analog/digital audio equipment.
