Discreet Honored for Promoting Educational Technology for Youth
Discreet, a division of Autodesk, Inc. was presented with theTechnology to Empower Community (TEC) Champion Award during a recentawards ceremony at the Congressional Black Caucus in Washington, D.C.Discreet is being recognized for its "excellence in promotinginnovative technology to educational communities throughout thecountry." The award was presented by Congressman Major Owens, chair ofthe Congressional Black Caucus' Education Brain Trust.
"Discreet is honored to be chosen by the Education Brain Trust andincluded among the prestigious list of prior winners of the TECChampion Award," said Paul Lypaczewski, general manager of Discreet andexecutive vice president, Autodesk. "Discreet will continue itsdedication and strong emphasis on giving schools access totechnological innovations and offering educational communities thetools they need to succeed."
Discreet's work in the educational community focuses on assistingschools and community based service organizations with technologyimplementation, using tools that drive students to take an activeinterest in their education.
VR Visions, a partner of Discreet in its educational outreach, alsoreceived a TEC Champion Award at this year¹s event for its effortson a new animation and virtual reality laboratory at Medgar EvarsCollege in Brooklyn, New York.
