Broadcast Ops Tech II (Master Control Operator)

Job Summary: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned. Performs technicalquality control checks on a variety of media Troubleshoots problemsinvolving signal path, media, programming, and logsInterfaces withinternal/external clients to ensure media meets EchoStarstandardsEnsures escalation procedures to report non-conforming mediaare followed. Particpates in the development and implementation ofprecesses, procedures and training materials while providing mentoringand training to junior members of the team. Prepares reports detailingtechnical discrepancies. Maintains logs and inputs data intoestablished databases and assists in the development of new databases.Reports, reviews, and determines impact of outages and performspreventative/corrective actions. Shift work may be required.

Ability to calculate figuresand amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions,percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply conceptsof basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems anddeal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where onlylimited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety ofinstructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
