Summary of Responsibilities: The scope of this jobincludes learning the equipment functions of the Earth Station. Thisincludes signal path and block diagram familiarization. As trainingprogresses assist in the fabrication, installation, maintenance andrepair of the radio-frequency (RF) equipment used in large-scalesatellite downlink and uplink operations. Uses the following types oftest equipment (not all inclusive): spectrum analyzer, signalgenerator, multimeter, fiber-optic test set and RF detector.
Summary of Qualifications Desired: Associate Degree inElectronics and /or Technical School graduate for electronics. Abilityto read, analyze, compose and interpret technical material related tothis position. Ability to work with mathematical concepts includingalgebra. Must be able to work on antennas which required climbing tallladders. Operate a man-lift on or around antennas. Must be able to workoutside during inclement weather. Be able to lift 100poundamplifiers.
