MediaSonic Introduces Low-Cost Desktop HD Player

Burbank, CA---MediaSonic, the media networking division ofElectrosonic, the Minneapolis, Minn.-based Global AV Integrator, hasrecently begun shipping the latest addition to the already successfulHDVideo Playback product line. With over 500 systems installed inelectronic cinemas, museums, retail and theme parks, the MediaSonic HDplayers deliver high quality images consistently and reliably.

The desktop MS9100D sells for $4,300. Users can operate the playerwith standard Windows Media Player control application. They can pointand click on an HD MPEG file and the MediaSonic HD player sends digitalcinema-quality images to plasma, LCD, or projectors. This simpleinterface makes it easy for anyone who is familiar with Windows tooperate an HD playback system.
