Director of Technical Services - MS

Mississippi Public Broadcasting seeks a Director of TechnicalServices to oversee the operation, maintenance, and continueddevelopment of its various networks including its statewide radioand television networks. MPB operates 8 radio and 8 televisionanalogue transmitters, 8 digital television transmitters, aninteractive video network, and major television and radioproduction facilities.

The director of technical services reports to the ExecutiveDirector and supervises a staff of approximately thirty-five (35).MPB operates a state of the art High Definition mobile unit. MPBstrives to be at the forefront of the technical development ofdigital television, radio, and High Definition production.

Special Qualifications:

• The required Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degreemust be in Engineering.
• The five (5) years of experience required at the Master’sdegree level, or six (6) years at the Bachelor’s level, orthe ten (10) years at the high school level, must have been inbroadcast television with some experience in digital television andmicrowave systems.
• Must have experience with project planning and design and haveexperience in management of technical staff.
