e-StudioLive Names High-Tech Veteran Steve Crummey as its New CEO

CHELMSFORD, Mass., Sept. 5, 2001 - e-StudioLive(tm) announced todayformer Intranets.com CEO Steve Crummey has joined the webcastingcompany as its new chief executive officer. Crummey is a well knownhigh-tech veteran with a notable track record of growing companies likeLotus, Avid and PictureTel from modest upstarts into industrygiants.

Crummey has the right mix of Internet and video experience to knowthe potential e-StudioLive's Webcasting systems hold. Intranets.com, acompany he co-founded and served as president and CEO, became theworld's largest intranet service provider by giving corporations, smallbusinesses and non-profits a secure, Web-based workplace for groupcommunication and collaboration, counting as many as a million and ahalf users. The company is one of the few dot-coms that has survivedthe transition from a free services model to a paid subscription model,registering more than 100,000 paid users from 6,000 businesses within30 days.

Prior to Intranets.com, he was vice president of worldwide sales atvideo conferencing leader PictureTel. Crummey was instrumental ingrowing the company's revenues from $250 million to close to $500million in sales. He also directed the company's transformation from adirect to an indirect sales model.

His experience in the video industry began as vice president ofworldwide sales and marketing at Avid Technologies where Crummey wasdirectly involved in orchestrating a highly successful initial publicoffering of the company.

Before that, Crummey spent more than eight years at LotusDevelopment Corporation, which he joined as a start-up and servedthrough its growth into a $900 million personal computer softwarepublisher. He initiated and grew Lotus' worldwide distribution andsales channels as senior vice president of worldwide sales andservice.

Crummey sees Webcasting as a technology just starting to emerge asthe preferred way businesses will communicate with employees, partners,prospects and customers.
