Network Storage Solutions Names Thomas Makmann President and CEO

CHANTILLY, VA -- Network Storage Solutions (NSS), an innovator andleader in the network-attached storage marketplace, announced theappointment of Thomas Makmann as president and chief executive officer.As CEO, Makmann will further extend the company's leadership innetworked storage and leverage the ongoing partnership with HitachiData Systems (HDS). Former president and CEO Bradford Clemmons will nowassume the position of Chief Technology Officer.

Makmann brings more than 30 years of management experience in thehigh technology sector to Network Storage Solutions, with specialexpertise in storage hardware and software companies. Most recently, heserved as president and chief operating officer of San Diego-basednStor Technologies, a provider of enterprise-class storage systems. Mr.Makmann's prior professional experience includes management positionswith Hammer Storage Solutions and Maxtor Corp.
