Senior Engineer (SE) for NBC (Secaucus, NJ)

Television Engineering professional needed to coordinate large-scaledigital integration projects within NBC properties. The position callsfor a highly self-motivated individual with broad expertise in allareas of Broadcast and Tele-Production technologies as well acomplementary Information Technologies skill set.

The candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience in the areaof broadcast television engineering, with a solid background incomputer networking technologies. A background in television productionoperations and systems is a plus. Knowledge of the systems andcomponents of the newly emerging technologies in the area of MediaManagement and non-linear editing for News production is also required.The Individual must be anxious to develop and advance their skill setsto keep pace with the rapidly evolving technologies of ourindustry.

The position will focus on baseband systems design, integration, andproject management. SE will coordinate with engineering counterparts inthe implementation of large-scale projects and new corporateinitiatives. Coordination will include standardization of signal andfile formats as well as hardware platforms wherever practical, toinsure compatibility and interchange between NBC entities.

The ability to work independently as well as part of a larger teamis critical to the success of this position. Strong interpersonal andorganizational skills are a must. Extensive national travel to NBCproperties as well as technology vendors will be required.
