Future Media to Provide Training Seminars on Sony's XPRI NLE System
PARK RIDGE, N.J. -– Sony Electronics has selected Future MediaConcepts, Inc. (FMC) in New York to serve as a nationwide trainingcenter for Sony’s award-winning XPRI nonlinear editing system.Future Media Concepts will design curriculum, deliver instructor-ledtraining courses, and provide onsite training to a wide variety ofbroadcast, production, and post-production customers.
"Since we unveiled the XPRI nonlinear editor six short months ago,industry interest has been overwhelming," said John Scarcella, seniorvice president for Sony Electronics’ Broadcast and ProfessionalCompany. "We’re pleased that FMC, an industry leader in thedigital media business with an established record of deliveringhigh-quality training, will provide training for XPRI systemscustomers."
"Future Media Concepts’ training seminars will offer athorough introduction to the editing features of the XPRI system. Threefull-day sessions will cover basic concepts and editing functions,basic effects, as well as the process of digitizing and outputtingfootage," said Jeff Rothberg, vice president and co-founder, FutureMedia Concepts. "The sessions will offer hands-on exercises to helpdevelop creativity and learn problem-solving solutions. In addition,students are entitled to a four-hour lab session where each student oneach system is free to experiment, review, and practice editingprocedures and techniques."
Other than classroom-based courses at all of Future MediaConcepts’ locations, nationwide onsite training is available toall XPRI system customers.
