This is trulya “greenfield” in broadcast television, with an opportunityto reach the largest urban population in the world. We are seekingindividuals to join a team of seasoned executives to build, manage, andgrow a local broadcast operation that will produce and deliverprofessional high-quality broadcasts with its own authentic style.

This team will have a history in creating, budgeting, developing,training, motivating and managing an urban broadcast operation.Candidates will have a solid industry reputation as professionals andpossess a desire for hands-on management and the energy and vision toestablish a significant new television media presence that is notlocked into any programming categories and practices.

A key objective for this team is to identify, mentor, and turn overthe reins to local staff after successful launch of the station. We arelooking for individuals who are willing to re-locate to Mexico City forapproximately 18 months. Serious candidates will possess the ability toprovide positive leadership and the ability to recruit, train,motivate, and lead other team members, positioning the station forfuture growth. Bilingual English-Spanish written and oral skills are arequirement.

Director, Broadcast Engineering (Mexico City)

Seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional who willplay an integral role in building and developing an efficient andprofitable operation for this new broadcast enterprise. The candidatewill have an appropriate engineering degree and a minimum of 10 yearsexperience in broadcast engineering, including “hands-on”and leadership roles. This will include the engineering responsibilityfor:

  • Production and post production systems and facilities.

  • Tape and digital server based video and audio systems.

  • On-air automation, master control & traffic systems.

  • Systems maintenance and operational requirements in support of a24/7on-air facility.

  • Planning, budgeting, installing and maintaining production andbroadcast systems that balance efficiency and the creative needs ofprogramming and production users.

  • Establishing and maintaining engineering standards that ensure veryhigh quality program production and play-out. The viewing audience willenjoy the same or better over-all picture and sound when compared tothe local broadcast competition.

  • Recruitment and leadership of a team of highly motivated engineerswho are provided with ongoing training that targets criticalfunctions.

  • Contribute to preparing and managing annual operating budgets.
