Engineering Manager

WABC-TV is looking for an individual with a solid technicalbackground to assist in the design, operation, and maintenance ofserver-based digital video and audio systems, graphics and editingsystems, and their associated IT infrastructure.

The successful candidate will need to have several years experienceproviding Engineering and IT support to broadcast News and MasterControl/On-Air operations at a major market television station. Thisposition includes managerial responsibilities as well as the need tounderstand complex digital video, digital audio, and LAN systems, witha proven ability to diagnose and rectify problems quickly. Excellentcommunication skills are essential to understand users’requirements and provide training on new systems. The ideal candidatewill have a solid background in video, audio, RF, and IT components andsystems, project management experience, an Engineering degree, andexperience working with labor contracts in a represented facility. Thisopen position is for the late afternoon/evening hours.
