NAB to Launch Post|Production World Conference with Future Media Concepts

The National Association of Broadcasters announced the creation ofthe NAB Post|Production World Conference, to be held during NAB2004April 17- 21 in Las Vegas. The NAB Post|Production World Conference,co-produced with digital media educator Future Media Concepts, willfeature over 160 sessions on a large variety of topics includingdigital video and film editing, news editing, compositing and specialeffects, 3D animation, web design, DVD authoring, video encoding forDVD and streaming, sound design, digital imaging, tech support fordigital facilities and DV production tips.

"NAB research shows that our production/post-production attendeesare extremely talented professionals seeking only the highest qualityeducational opportunities," said John Marino, vice president, Scienceand Technology, NAB. The sessions, which will run all day Saturday and Sunday andafternoons Monday through Wednesday, are designed for intermediate toadvanced users who wish to enhance effectiveness and creativity andwalk away with power tips that they may apply to future projects.

In addition, the conference will feature Spanish-speakinginstructors for sessions on Avid, Final Cut Pro and After Effects forthe NAB spring convention's growing international constituencies. TheInside the Creative Mind track will feature industry leadersdemonstrating and discussing the aesthetic process used in creating aproject. The conference will also feature a business track designed toprovide digital artists with tips to enhance their career.
