Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager
Department: Customer Support (Operations)
Reports To: Project Management Manager

SUMMARY Manage all post-sales activities on a project toensure high levels of customer satisfaction with the implementation ofbroadcast automation and media asset management systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.Other duties may be assigned.

Contact customer immediately after sale to review purchase, clarifycustomer expectations, review facilities, coordinate station leadimprovements, establish time lines for installation and training, allassociated risks and schedule customer milestones and dates forfollow-up.

Coordinate with internal departments for installation and training.Track project through pre-installation, installation and training.Coordinate fixes for outstanding customer items and expectation.

Track open items until successful resolution, sign off on projectwhen complete and hand over to Technical Support.

Provide weekly status reports on all projects to senior management.Track project budgets for engineering and fulfillment.

Compile and communicate information necessary for business processimprovements of workflow and resource allocation to customers andemployees.

LEADERSHIP

This position has no direct reports.

This position does influence both internal and external customers sothat mutual objectives are accomplished.

QUALIFICATIONS/TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

A background in broadcast IT technology and how this technology fitstogether within a facility.

A technical background with experience in computer science and/orelectrical engineering. MCSP certifications are desired.

The expertise should include familiarity with the functions of audioand video equipment as well as personal computer architecture andnetworking.

Should have experience with Microsoft Project and should be familiarwith the standard Project Management Institute Body of Knowledge(PMBOK) methodologies.

LEVEL OF PROBLEM SOLVING/DECISION MAKING

This position requires a high degree of problem solving.

This position requires logically assembling multiple task, timelines and resources so the project moves toward completion.

Ability to use experiential learning so that prior customersituations and solutions can be applied to the current projects.

COMMUNICATION

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific andtechnical documents and terminology.

Ability to write complex correspondence articulating multiplebenchmarks, milestones and technical descriptions.

Must be able to create drawings and/or documentation concerningcustomer’s automation or MAM systems.

Project Manager must have the ability to effectively presentinformation in one-on-one, small and large group situations tocustomers, clients and other employees of the organization.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university;related experience and training; or equivalent combination of educationand/or experience.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to awide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal witha variety of abstract and concrete variables.
