RGB Spectrum Expands its DGx Line of Digital Recording Systems
Alameda, CA - RGB Spectrum's DGx recording system is a breakthroughin realtime, high resolution digital recording technology. It is theonly recording system that can record multiple signal typessimultaneously-including computer, video, radar, and X-ray signals, aswell as audio. Designed for applications demanding recording of highresolution signals without downconversion, the DGx records and playsback imagery at up to 1600 x 1200 pixel resolution.
DGx recording systems are the ideal solution for control rooms, training, software usability testing, security, monitoring, A/Vpresentation, and human factors engineering.
The DGx takes a novel approach to recording. The standard in theindustry has been to scan convert high resolution signals and recordthem on video tape. But recording at video resolution means a loss offidelity, which is especially problematic where small character setsand symbology are involved. The DGx addresses this issue by recordingimagery at full resolution. DGx systems record up to four channelssimultaneously and simplify the task of synchronized playback withinputs multiplexed on a single storage device. DGx provides synchronousplayback of multiple images which can be displayed on a single monitoror on separate monitors. DGx also offers time stamping, event marking, and random access to recordings.
The DGx line is comprised of three models:
DGx 100 Four channel system
DGx 101 Playback-only system
DGx 102 Two channel system
DGx Video Channel options supplement one or two of the DGx RGBchannels with composite/component/S-Video input channels for recordingvideo. This useful option allows recording of both a computer and itsoperator, for a range of applications including software useabilitytesting, event monitoring, and human factors engineering. DGxrecordings are stored on either high capacity disks with 9 or 15 hourrecording capacity on removable hard drives or digital tape with 3 hourrecording capacity.
With high resolution image quality, a broad range of input signals, multiple signal recording capability, digital storage, and eventmarking, the DGx is an extremely flexible and complete recording systemfor a variety of applications.
