Realscreen Summit Celebrating Fifth Anniversary Feb. 5-7

Washington, DC,---The industry renowned Realscreen Summit--theannual conference that brings together the players in the factualprogramming industry--is celebrating its 5th anniversary Feb. 5-7 atWashington’s Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill.

With over 680 delegates from 22 different countries attending lastyear’s conference, 97 percent recommended the summit as the bestevent to attend if you are in nonfiction programming. The organizers ofthe summit are pleased to announce that John Willis, VP of NationalProgramming for WGBH, and Robert Wussler, President of Ted TurnerPictures will be Keynote Speakers.

The day-one keynote speaker, John Willis will bridge the Atlanticgap with his experiences in co-productions and partnerships, whichgives him the expertise to understand trends and growth opportunitiesin the nonfiction TV industry. On day-two, Robert Wussler will offer anedge to the discussion by challenging broadcasters to pick up more‘cause related’ programming to address the issues andcauses in the world around them.

This year’s summit will bring international programmingexecutives and future production partners face to face to discuss newopportunities for factual programming. Broadcasting execs from aroundthe world come clean regarding the programming they are looking,do’s and don’ts on how to pitch them and how theirevaluation process works. Attendees will also be given a preview of newopportunities in DVD, Stock Footage, High Definition, and InternationalDistribution.
