Engineering Manager (Washington DC) TV

seek an experienced hands-on technical manager to assist the VPEngineering with overseeing the day-to-day technical operations of thisfast-paced duopoly, news station.

• Requires minimum 6 years experience providing Engineering and ITsupport to broadcast News and Master Control/On-Air operations at amajor market television station.

• Managerial responsibilities include employee supervision.

• Must be knowledgeable in complex digital video, digital audio andLAN systems, with proven ability to quickly and accurately diagnose andresolve problems.

• Must be knowledgeable in users' workflow requirements and providetraining on new systems.

• Requires excellent communication skills.

• Must be able to effectively work with others in challengingsituations. Strong background in video, audio, RF and IT components andsystems.

• Project management experience required.

• Experience working with collective bargaining agreements in a unionrepresented facility preferred.
