Clarity Introduces Industry's First 40-inch Direct View LCD
Wilsonville, Ore., October 14, 2002 - Clarity Visual Systems todayintroduced the display industry's first 40-inch direct view AdvancedPerformance Liquid Crystal Display aimed at replacing plasma screens,which are often plagued phosphor wear and burn. The Bobcat utilizes anLCD panel manufactured by Sanyo Electric.
Clarity's Bobcat display also offers the highest resolutionavailable, including the ability to accept inputs from VGA (640x480),up to WXGA (1280x768) resolution.

The new direct view AP/LCD Bobcat uses the same durable, proventechnology used in computer laptop screens. It also retains the slimdesign flexibility and appeal of plasma displays. In addition, thedirect view AP/LCD has superior screen brightness, lower powerconsumption and much longer life.
The new 40-inch Bobcat display is useful in a wide range of businessand consumer messaging applications. As a stand-alone monitor, iteasily replaces CRT and plasma displays and is ideally suited fortransportation, quick serve restaurants and other retail applications.Clarity will demonstrate the new product for the first time at the MCSiConvergence Expo in Anaheim, Calif. on October 14.
