Envivio Delivers MPEG-4 Plug-in for RealSystem Server and RealOne Player

Envivio today announced availability of an MPEG-4 plug-in for theRealPlayer, RealOne Player, and RealSystem Server. Envivio's advancedsoftware allows users to view standardized MPEG-4 audio and video aswell as mixed media through the RealPlayer and RealOnePlayer, whichrepresent the world's largest streaming media subscriber base of morethan 235 million registered users. In addition, Envivio also announcedtoday the availability of its plug-in to the RealSystem Server, whichenables content owners and creators to stream MPEG-4 audio and videousing the most widely deployed streaming system in the world.

A complete suite of Envivio MPEG-4 authoring, encoding, andstreaming server tools is now available for content creation anddistribution. With the inclusion of the EnvivioTV MPEG-4 plug-in to theRealPlayer and RealOne Player, developers can now createstandards-based content for mass-market viewing. The MPEG-4 solutionwill be available to RealPlayer and RealOne Player users throughRealNetworks' auto-update program. The new RealOne Player combines anext-generation media player with a jukebox and media browser.
