The DVD Awards Call For Entries
Hollywood, Calif.-- The 6th Annual DVD Entertainment Conference& Showcase has issued its call for entries in competition for theannual DVD Awards with Leonard Maltin. The prestigious honors will bepresented August 20, 2003 at the Hilton Universal City by renowned filmcritic and historian Leonard Maltin, co-host of the weekly syndicatedtelevision show Hot Ticket.

A panel of respected industry journalists will judge DVDs releasedduring the past year in an assortment of categories. Nominees in eachcategory will be announced one month prior to the award ceremony. Thenthe judges will proceed to select winners in each category from thenominated titles. Meanwhile, visitors to several DVD-related websiteswill vote for the Viewers' Choice Award. All awards will be handed outat the event on August 20, 2003.
The DVD Awards are produced by the International Recording MediaAssociation (IRMA) and Medialine magazine, a publication of UnitedEntertainment Media (UEM).
