Oregon 3D presents the first annual FILM CAMP!

For two full weeks this summer (August 17th - August 29th, 2003)new filmmakers from around the world will be coming to Oregon 3D toparticipate in an exciting new camp and make a film together. Join usand be a part of a film in the making!

Under the guidance of award-winning director Mike Wellins anddiscreet-certified flame compositor Phil Guzzo (both previously fromWill Vinton Studios), you'll become a member of a lean, mean filmmakingteam, working together to create and complete a short film. Plus, we'llhave a variety of guest speakers, highlighting working professionals,producers, special effects artists, post-production supervisors andothers.

We'll work step-by-step through the entire modern filmmakingprocess, beginning with a location shoot using 35mm film, of course.We'll continue with digital transfer, editing, special effectsproduction and animation, screen dailies, and finish with final filmpost and output. We will use the cutting-edge facilities of Oregon3D,including state-of-the-art systems (every workstation has ahi-resolution wide screen display) and industry standard tools such as3ds Max, combustion, Maya, MotionBuilder and more. We'll also take timeto tour some professional studios and facilities in town. Hey, this isgoing to be fun!

As an extra bonus, the final day of camp will include a specialscreening for all of us and our special guests in the Oregon3D Theatre.When camp is over, you will take home a great experience, a DVD and VHScopy of the final film, along with a new credit to add to your reel.Even better, if the film merits, Oregon3D will submit it to festivalsand competitions.
