Student Academy Award-Winning Short to be Made Into Feature Film

Kinetic Arts, a New York-based film and digital video productioncompany, is pleased to announce its production partnership with M&MProductions of Copenhagen, Denmark, to produce a feature film based onthe 2002 Student Academy Award-winning short film, "Feeding Desire".The announcement was made following a screening of the film at theFifth Annual Newport International Film Festival in Newport, R.I.,where the short is in competition.

"Feeding Desire" is a universally appealing romantic comedy about aman whose marriage is endangered by the fact that he does not have amistress. So, like anyone in that predicament, he invents one andproceeds to see his life turned upside down.

"We knew immediately after seeing it at the 2002 Clermont-Ferrandfilm festival that "Feeding Desire" was a winner, and that there wasexceptional talent behind the project", says Chris Spanos, one ofKinetic Arts' Managing Partners. Spanos added "It's our plan to workhand in hand with the original production team at M&M to bring thisclever story to audiences in the U.S. looking for funny, originalcontent."

Mie Andreasen, who produced the short film for M&M Productionsand will also serve as one of the producers of the English-languagefeature, states, "It's exciting to work with Kinetic Arts to bring thisstory to the American market. We believe that director MartinStrange-Hansen's original film has such strong universal themes, in thevein of American Beauty, that the feature will work perfectly in theU.S."

Kim Magnusson and Mie Andreasen of M&M and Chris Spanos and AlexTwersky of Kinetic Arts will produce the English-language featureversion of Feeding Desire. The film is currently in development and isslated to go into production in 2003 with a budget of under U.S. $5million.
