Zoa Martinez to Speak at NAMIC Creative Summit
Zoa Martinez, president and creative director of Hispanic-owned ZONADesign, the New York-based motion design and branding studio, willspeak at the inaugural National Association for Multi-ethnicity inCommunications (NAMIC) Creative Summit, which takes place April 15 to16 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, Beverly Hills, Calif.
NAMIC was founded to raise awareness, expand opportunity, and shapethe future. Today, more than 20 years later, its mission is moreimportant than ever. The 2000 U.S. Census shed light on what NAMIC hadpresumed to be true: that the American population is growing morediverse with every passing year. And that has wide-reaching effects onthe communications industry—from its customer base andprogramming decisions to the emerging workforce and current state ofemployee diversity. NAMIC educates the industry on marketingapproaches, programming interests and operations strategies for thenation's ever-changing population, and guides industry understanding ofthese complex issues. To further that end, The Summit will feature anumber of forums and a career expo focusing on the creative side of theindustry.
Zoa Martinez joins "The Word is Out: Building the Brand withMarketing and PR" panel which will discuss, “The medium, themessage, and the marketing. It’s the business of being creativeand the broad strokes of selling the product and the brand. There aremany ways to cast the widest net to reach the largest audience withcreative communication and cutting edge promotion.” This panel isscheduled for Thursday, April 15th, 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
