Jack Powers to Keynote Super Session at NAB2002

Jack Powers, director of IN3.ORG, The International InformaticsInstitute, will provide the opening keynote for the "Creating Contentfor Anyone, Anywhere and Any Device" Super Session, April 9 atNAB2002.

Computers are evolving and getting better, changing the way userschoose, view and interact with video and audio on the Web. Powers willexplore the emerging landscape of intelligent systems that cater to aviewer's preferences, that search and organize online media and thatsimulate reality and human interaction to craft more compellingentertainment experiences.

Powers is the author of five books on new technologies and thedirector of the International Informatics Institute, a New York hightech R&D center he founded in 1982. The Institute explorestechnology opportunities for clients on five continents and consultswith investors and entrepreneurs on media innovations. Powers is amember of Penton Media's Internet World Advisory Board and their formerconference chairman. He teaches in the Department of Film, Video andBroadcasting at New York University.

Following the keynote, experts will discuss emerging tools,techniques and technologies for creating and delivering streaming mediacontent in the new world of network publishing for wireless mobiledevices. New breakthroughs will soon enable the delivery of visuallyrich, personalized content anytime, anywhere, on any device. This thirdwave of publishing—Network Publishing—recognizes thedramatic change in the way content is being created, managed anddelivered.
