Digidesign to Receive Oscar for Pro Tools System

Avid Technology announced that its audio division, Digidesign, willreceive an Academy Award of Merit (Oscar statuette) from the Academy ofMotion Picture Arts and Sciences. The statuette, which will bepresented at the Scientific and Technical Academy Awards on Feb. 14,2004, will recognize Digidesign for the design, development, andimplementation of the Pro Tools digital audio workstation, which isrenowned as the standard for creating and editing motion picturesoundtracks.
