NABA Secretary General to Give IBC Keynote

This year's IBC Keynote speaker will be Michael McEwen. Michaelholds the posts of Secretary General of the North America BroadcastersAssociation (NABA), President of the World Digital Audio BroadcastForum, President of Canadian Digital Television, as well as having beenExecutive Vice President of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation(CBC). As a consultant advising on media, strategy, policy andbroadcast digital technologies, Michael has over 30 years of radio andtelevision experience, 27 of which were spent with the CBC.

Speaking about his forthcoming presentation Michael said, "Alongwith the challenges, risks and opportunities we all face in making thedigital transition in both television and radio I will deal with themyths and realities of a business that informs, entertains andenlightens but also exaggerates".

The IBC Keynote address will take place in the RAI Forum on Saturday19 September at 10:30 am. Entry is free to everyone wearing an IBCbadge.

The Keynote can also be viewed on the IBC website and will beavailable for download afterwards.
