Digital Projection International Delivers First Ever Commercial Demo of 2K x 1K Resolution Projector
KENNESAW, GA and MANCHESTER, U.K. - Digital Projection International(DPI), an Emmy Award-winning manufacturer of high-performanceprojection systems, announced it demonstrated the world's first digitalcinema projector utilizing Texas Instruments' 2K x 1K resolution 3-chipDLP Cinema Digital Micromirror Device(tm) (DMD) this past week inTokyo, Japan.
DPI's projection system, the Digital Projection Cinema-branded cS25,is the first digital cinema projector to incorporate the newhigher-resolution DMD's for use in commercial cinemas. Thedemonstration was arranged in conjunction with Digital Projection'sJapanese cinema distributor, TOSHIBA DENKO, and was held at the TogekiTheatre in Ginza, Tokyo, Japan. The demonstration was met with ravereviews by those in attendance.
