HDNET and MLB Announce Full Season of High Definition Broadcasts
Major League Baseball and HDNet, the all-high definition sports andentertainment network, have finalized plans to broadcast 80 MajorLeague Baseball games in High Definition during the 2002regular-season. The 2002 HDNet MLB broadcast schedule begins with theDetroit Tigers-Minnesota Twins game on April 13.
HDNet, which is located on DIRECTV channel 199, originally reachedan agreement with MLB in September 2001 to broadcast 12 MLB games toviewers in the highest quality 1080i HD format for the reminder of the2001 season.

"This agreement with HDNet willgive Major League Baseball fans the chance to watch their favoriteteams and players in the highest-quality broadcast formatavailable."
HDNet, the world's only national network broadcasting all HD, allthe time, produces its MLB game broadcasts in conjunction with certainFox Sports Net regional outlets, sharing audio and graphics with FSN'sstandard definition production units.
