ASC to Host Open House, Online Internet Chat

The American Society of Cinematographers will hold an open house andlive Internet chat with the ASC Outstanding Achievement Award honoreesand nominees. The historic ASC Clubhouse will be open to the publicfrom 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (PST) on Saturday, Feb. 7. The Internet chat (www.theasc.com) willoriginate from that site from noon to 3 p.m. (PST).

Participants include nominees for ASC Outstanding Achievement Awardsin four categories—feature films, episodic television, andtelevision movies/pilots/miniseries on broadcast and paychannels—along with Lifetime Achievement Award recipient MichaelChapman, ASC, Board of Governors Award recipient Irwin Winkler,International Achievement Award recipient Miroslav Ondricek, ASC,Presidents Award recipient Howard Anderson Jr., ASC, and KevinBrownlow, recipient of a special award of recognition.

“Our goal is to give filmmakers, students, and fans anopportunity to meet and greet the talented artists we will be honoringat the 18th Annual ASC Outstanding Achievement Awards gala the nextevening,” says ASC President Richard Crudo. “If youcan’t make it in person, we invite you to participate in theInternet chat.”

The ASC clubhouse is located at 1782 North Orange Drive inHollywood, on the corner of Franklin. Parking is available at Hollywood& Highland (on the opposite corner of Orange at Hollywood), andacross the street from H&H on Orange.
