MegaSystems and Pacific Title/Mirage Studio Announce Merger

Philadelphia (September 4, 2001)— MegaSystems of Philadelphiaand Pacific Title/Mirage Studio (PTM) of Hollywood have announced thatthe two companies have merged. Both companies are Safeguard Scientifics(NYSE: SFE) partnership companies.

The legal name of the combined companies is Pacific Title and ArtStudio, Inc. Phillip Feiner of Pacific Title/Mirage is the CEO andPresident of Pacific Title and Art Studio Inc. MegaSystems willcontinue to do business under its existing brand name. Cathy Neifeld isPresident of the MegaSystems division.
