The Music Video Production Association Announces This Year's Nominees for the 12th Annual MVPA Awards

Hollywood, CA--The Music Video Production Association (MVPA) isproud to reveal the nominees for the 12th Annual MVPA Awards, whichrecognize and honor the exceptional talent in various categories ofmusic video production. The prestigious annual awards show is the onlyawards forum within the industry of music video production thatrecognizes the technical and creative artisans of the industry.

The gala ceremony will take place in Los Angeles, at the OrpheumTheatre, Thursday, May 8, 2003. Guests will include professionals fromthe music video industries: directors, editors, special effectsartists, makeup artists, production houses, film companies, pluspresenting the awards are musicians, actors, directors, celebrities,corporate executives, and media representatives.

"Amidst the seismic changes surrounding and involving our industrythis year, the MVPA has grown as a foundation of support for theproduction community and for the creative excellence which continues toexplode from video production companies. This years Awards, as it hasdrawn record-breaking interest from performers, attendees andsubmissions, is a credit to that creativity. The MVPA (www.mvpa.com) wascreated to recognize music video as an art form, ensuring that theindustry maintains a high standard of professionalism and artisticexcellence by honoring its visionaries through a selective panel ofindustry members. The nominees are selected and judged by their peers,who review hundreds of videos submitted for consideration. This yearwill mark the 12th Anniversary for the MVPA Annual Music VideoAwards.

The Orpheum Theatre is located at 842 South Broadway, Los Angeles.Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., ceremony to begin at 7:30 p.m.
